Skudak, LLC ("Skudak," "we," "us," or "our") is a New Hampshire, USA company building electric vehicle conversions, components, and the Skudak Polarity mobile app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, across our website (skudak.com) and the Polarity app. We keep this deliberately simple because we collect very little.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you contact us through the website, we collect what you submit—your name, email address, the subject you select, and your message. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include in that message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and content delivery providers keep basic, short-lived request logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) to operate and secure the site. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address in order to serve those fonts. We do not use cookies, advertising, analytics, or tracking technologies on this site.

How We Use Your Information

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide the services or information you request
  • Operate, maintain, and secure our website and app
  • Communicate with you about a project, order, or support request you initiated

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build profiles about you.

How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers that process information on our behalf (for example, website hosting, email delivery, and contact form/inquiry handling), under agreements that limit their use to providing those services—or when required to comply with the law or protect our rights.

The Skudak Polarity App

The Polarity app is a tool for owners of Skudak hardware. It is designed to keep your data on your device:

  • No account required. The app does not require you to create an account or sign in.
  • Vehicle & diagnostic data. The app communicates with your vehicle's control unit over Bluetooth. Vehicle status and diagnostic data stay on your device and are not sent to us.
  • Bluetooth. The app uses Bluetooth to find and connect to your hardware. On Android, the system may also request a location permission because of how Bluetooth scanning works on the operating system—the app does not use or collect your location.
  • Camera & photos. Accessed only if you choose to attach an image when exporting a diagnostic log; the app does not browse or upload your library otherwise.
  • Updates & definitions. The app downloads firmware and error-code definitions from our servers. As with any download, the server can see your device's IP address to deliver the file; we don't use this to identify you.
  • No analytics or tracking. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs, and collects no personal data. App settings and any logs are stored locally and are removed when you uninstall the app.
  • Support logs. If you choose to send us a diagnostic log for support, it contains only what you export and send to us.

Data Retention

We keep contact and inquiry information only as long as needed to respond to you and for our legitimate business records, then delete it. App data lives on your device under your control.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the limited information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Your Rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you've shared with us. To make a request, email us at and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Children's Privacy

Our website and app are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know.
